Case study · DEWDROPZ · 2026

One brand. Five products. One backend.

DEWDROPZ makes mountain-inspired apparel, printed to order in Dehradun. We built everything it runs on: a store with its own commerce backend, a print-on-demand design studio, TrekBuddy for finding company outdoors, equipment rentals, and an iOS and Android app.

BeforeA new brand with apparel to print, gear to rent and a community to start — and no software for any of it.

AfterFive products on one backend. The store and TrekBuddy are live.

The hard parts

What one engine has to get right.

Built from July 2026. Stack: Next.js, React Native (Expo), Supabase, PostgreSQL, fabric.js, Razorpay, Vercel.

  1. The problemA design on a screen has to print the same on cloth.

BuiltThe cart shows it on the garment; production gets each side as a 300 DPI file from the same layers.

  2. The problemThe last hoodie, two shoppers.

BuiltStock can’t go below zero, and unpaid orders give their stock back.

  3. The problemOne tent, two bookings for the same weekend.

BuiltThe database refuses overlapping dates for the same unit.

  4. The problemGear comes back late, or damaged.

BuiltLate fees by the day and damage charges, settled against the deposit, with photos at handover and return.

  5. The problemStrangers meeting outdoors.

BuiltThe host picks the group, the meeting point stays private until then, and women-only trips are enforced by the database.
